Library Development

Library Development staff work to make library service in Iowa the best it can be by offering services and programs for libraries.  We are funded primarily with federal Library Services and Technology Act funds (LSTA).  Each of our consultants specializes in particular areas such as continuing education, library statistics, technology, library services for kids, grant writing and more.   Our support staff can help you with general information about Library Development services and programs.

State Data Center

The State Data Center of Iowa is your source for population, housing, business and government statistics about Iowa, including data from the U.S. Census Bureau, Iowa state agencies, and other state and federal sources.
