State Library hosts art from VSA Iowa

"Pulling Strings"

The vibrant artwork on display at the State Library during the month of July evokes many different emotions. From quiet country lanes to vibrant abstract themes, the artists' paintings capture our attention.  The artists participate in programs through Very Special Arts (VSA) Iowa where people with disabilities can learn through and participate in the arts. Their  motto is: "Creating a society where people with disabilities can learn through, participate in, and enjoy the arts."   Click here to visit their Web site.

The Library is located in the Miller Building at the corner of E. 12th St. and Grand Ave. The building is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information call 515-281-4102 or 800-248-4483. Click here for a map to the Miller Building.
