WebJunction makes its debut

Last modified March 28, 2006 08:40 PM

WebJunction is an online community of libraries and other agencies sharing knowledge and experience to provide the broadest public access to information technology.

WebJunction contains the tools and tips necessary to support public access computing and to augment professional knowledge about technology related issues.  The site builds on the work of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in support of U.S. and Canadian libraries over the past five years.  It is also sponsored by OCLC, the Benton Foundation, Colorado State Library, Isoph and TechSoup.

Features on WebJunction include a Learning Center which allows users to take an online course on various technology-related subjects; a Community Center where messages can be posted and discussed on technology topics; and Technology Resources, Policies & Practices, and Buying Guide which provide resources, articles and tips on a variety of technology-related topics.
