Jon Richardson, West Branch Library Director, and Son Killed in Crash

Longtime West Branch library director, Jon Richardson, and his son, Raymond, died in a car accident on Interstate 80 about 1 p.m. Sunday, December 14.  His wife, Jacinta Hart, remains in critical condition.  Daughter Elizabeth Richardson-Hart was released from the hospital.

Jon was well liked in the West Branch community and was known as a "soccer parent-coach" who enjoyed playing the game with his son.  He and his family were avid readers.

Jon grew up in Nogales, Arizona and moved to West Branch 10 years ago to become library director.
