What's Your Library Doing on September 11, 2004?
When: On Saturday 11, 2004, people around the world will come together at public places like local libraries.
What: Share and discuss your ideas about democracy, citizenship and patriotism through public talks, roundtables and performances
Where: Libraries are ideal hosts for community events. They are free. They are open to the public. And there are over 16,000 public libraries in the U.S.
Assemble + Express + Vote. Be heard on September 11, exchange ideas, and register to vote.
Iowa cities and libraries already planning activities include: Cedar Falls; Davenport; Des Moines Public Library and branches; Evansdale; Estherville, University of Iowa; and Waterloo.
The September Project is a collection of people, groups and organizations devoted to making this happen.
