Last modified June 08, 2006 01:07 PM

When:  On Saturday 11, 2004, people around the world will come together at public places like local libraries.

What:  Share and discuss your ideas about democracy, citizenship and patriotism through public talks, roundtables and performances

Where:  Libraries are ideal hosts for community events.  They are free.  They are open to the public.  And there are over 16,000 public libraries in the U.S.

Assemble + Express + Vote.  Be heard on September 11, exchange ideas, and register to vote.

Iowa cities and libraries already planning activities include:  Cedar Falls; Davenport;  Des Moines Public Library and branches; Evansdale; Estherville, University of Iowa; and Waterloo.

The September Project is a collection of people, groups and organizations devoted to making this happen.
