Graphic Novels ICN Workshop
The State Library of Iowa and Iowa Public Television are co-sponsoring two ICN sessions about graphic Novels on Thursday, September 15. The sessions will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m and from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The second session is a repeat of the first session.
Mike Quinn, Reference Specialist at the Ames Public Library, will present a 90-minute presentation for librarians, educators, and media specialists interested in learning more about graphic novels.
In his presentation, Mike will be discuss the following items regarding graphic novels:
Why are graphic novels so popular?
How do I choose graphic novels?
Now, that I have graphic novels, where should I put them?
How do I catalog graphic novels?
Plus much more!
The session promises to be very informative for persons thinking about
starting or already have a graphic novel collection. One hour of
State Library CE credit will be given for this session. Please check
the State Library website to register for the program and download a copy
of the resource list for the session.
Iowa Public Television will be taking the registrations for this event
and scheduling the ICN sites. There are additional informative websites
