Plan to Attend "Using EBSCOhost with Kids"

Last modified March 28, 2006 08:40 PM

The State Library of Iowa and Iowa Public Television are collaborating to provide two training sessions on Using EBSCOhost with Kids on January 31, 2006. There will be two ICN sessions, one from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and one from 3:00-4:00 p.m.

Michele Leininger, Continuing Education Consultant at the State Library of Iowa, will deliver a 2-hour professional development opportunity for librarians, educators, and media specialists interested in learning more about EBSCOhost's new interfaces for kids.

During the first hour, Michele will give you a tour of EBSCOhost's two new interfaces for kids: the Kid's Search for grades K-5 and the Student Research Center for grades 6-12. The second hour will focus on how to show both kids and parents how to use this resourceful homework tool.

Lisa Albers from IPTV will once again be taking the registrations for these two sessions and scheduling ICN sites.

To register go to this website:

Handouts will be available on the State Library website and on the IPTV website one week prior to the workshop.
