State Librarian Visits C-SPAN's Book TV Bus

State Librarian Mary Wegner and Des Moines Public Library staff were on hand to greet and tour the new Book TV Bus on July 12, which is traveling the nation to enhance its local coverage of author interviews and book festivals. The bus was parked outside the new downtown public library and drew many people who were visiting the library or strolling during their lunch breaks.
Book TV Bus representatives, in partnership with local cable affiliates, conduct events and interviews with local library directors, bookstore owners and writers for Book TV; while the network's editorial team interview today's leading names in the literary world from the mobile studio.
Two local authors will be interviewed July 13 when the bus is parked at the Jordan Creek Mall.
Book TV on C-SPAN2 airs from Saturdays to Mondays, 8 a.m. ET.
