State Library Offers ICN Session for Iowa Public Library Trustees
5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2006.
On Thursday, November 2, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., the State Library will offer an ICN session for trustees on library governance and funding. Topics
include: how libraries are governed; roles of the mayor and city council, library board, library director; changing the library ordinance; power of the library board over the library budget; reporting income and expenditures to the city; amending the budget; budget roles of the director, the board and the city. (It will cover the same material as the Library Board Orientation session at Town Meetings.)
