State Library Displays Local Doctor's Paintings

Last modified February 09, 2007 02:20 PM

Work of Dr. Phil Bryant

The State Library is hosting an exhibit in February of the paintings of Dr. Phillip L. Bryant of Des Moines. Watercolors, acrylics, pastels and more cover topics from an ancient waterwheel in Iraq to a portrait of his three children.  Many of the paintings have a water theme, showing Dr. Bryant’s love for water and boating.

A lifelong artist, Dr. Bryant said "Today the halls and rooms of my clinic are filled with my art work.  My art allows patients to get to know me, as I get to know them and how we can try to make their lives better."

Stop by the Ola Babcock Miller Building and enjoy this beautiful exhibit. We are located at the NW corner of E. 12th and Grand Ave.  Visitor parking is available directly north of the building.
