Third Plow Training Class Begins
275 Iowa public libraries signed up for Plow Project
The third class for librarians participating in the PLOW Project has begun. Twenty-eight training sessions will be offered around the state from now until the end of May. 275 libraries are participating in the PLOW project, which is a part of a $749,000 Staying Connected Grant awarded to the State Library of Iowa from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to sustain and expand public access computing in Iowa public libraries.
In this class, library staff will learn how to add unique content to their Web sites. The library Web sites will soon be populated with news items, events, links and pages. Since the last class, offered January-March, library staff have been busy editing pages to add content about their libraries to their Web sites.
