New themes picked for 2009-2011

Karen Randleman, Youth Services Coordinator for the State Library, was in Little Rock, Arkansas on April 23-25 for the annual Collaborative Summer Library Program.  CSLP is a consortium of 45 states plus the District of Columbia who share a common summer reading theme and work together on ideas for bibliographies, programs, and incentives.  By doing so they avoid duplication of effort, and by ordering supplies as a group, achieve significant savings. This year CSLP selected themes for 2010 and picked a general blanket theme for 2011.

CSLP Theme for Summer 2009:
Children: Be Creative @ Your Library
Teens: Express Yourself @ your Library

Theme for Summer 2010:
Children:  Make a Splash, Read!
Teens:  Make Waves at Your Library!

General Theme for Summer 2011:
World Cultures
