While your library may have a “disaster plan” in place to help protect itself, how prepared are you to provide services to your community when a crises affects them but spares your library? Two library directors who have undergone community crises and provided non-traditional library services during that time will share their experiences and recommendations on how to respond “in times of crises.” Darryl Eschete, director of West Des Moines PL, was a librarian in Louisiana when Hurricane Katrina hit the area. Marty Stahl is director of Parkersburg PL (IA) and provided support to her community after a tornado struck in 2008. Join them for this interesting, inspiring and informational session!
