This webinar series is for library staff interested in implementing digitization projects to preserve archival and historical information. Each session in the series will introduce basic concepts central to planning, implementing and ensuring the long-term success of projects.
"Protect" is the fourth of six sessions, and addresses everyday concerns such as controlling who has access internally and externally to content, ensuring that confidential information has sufficient access controls, and making sure emergency contingencies (e.g., disaster planning, detection and response) are in place.
The series is based on curriculum developed by the Library of Congress Digital Preservation Outreach and Education program, and presented by Tom Keyser, Iowa Library Services. Tom is a certified archivist, and is one of only 45 people nationwide trained to offer the Digital Preservation Outreach and Education program.
There are six sessions in this series and separate registration is required for each session. You do not have to take all six sessions to participate.
