This webinar series is for library staff interested in implementing digitization projects to preserve archival and historical information. Each session in the series will introduce basic concepts central to planning, implementing and ensuring the long-term success of projects.
"Provide" is the last of six sessions, and considers concepts, roles, and challenges involved in making digital content accessible over time (not of providing real-time access now). This session also identifies some very basic intellectual property considerations.
The series is based on curriculum developed by the Library of Congress Digital Preservation Outreach and Education program, and presented by Tom Keyser, Iowa Library Services. Tom is a certified archivist, and is one of only 45 people nationwide trained to offer the Digital Preservation Outreach and Education program.
There are six sessions in this series and separate registration is required for each session. You do not have to take all six sessions to participate.
