Join us on Tuesday, January 21, 10:00-11:30 for a webinar about Teen Tech Week. Teen Tech Week is a nationwide initiative from the Young Adult Library Services Association, a division of the American Library Association, during which libraries across the U.S. showcase all of the great technology and nonprint resources and services that are available to teens and their families. This year celebrate with the "DIY @ your library" theme during Teen Tech Week March 9-15, 2014. Demonstrate the value your library gives to the community by offering teens a space to extend learning beyond the classroom where they can explore, create and share content. From maker spaces, to coding classes to online knitting clubs, libraries can leverage the do-it-yourself theme to show how you connect in meaningful ways with the teens in your community. The focus will be on outreach and programming ideas. If you have an idea for Teen Tech Week this year, or have done something in the past that was successful with teens at your library, please consider sharing it with other attendees during the webinar.
