Photographer Chris Mortenson's work deals with how we, as a society, interact with the natural world through the use of imagery, definition, and experience.

He currently lives in Iowa City and is the Adjunct Professor of Photography at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. and an Adjunct Instructor of Photography at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA.  He received an MFA from The University of Iowa in May of 2010.

Chris also has a show at Mt. Mercy in Cedar Rapids called "And in the movement of the Sun, I felt something." The show is about about the places we visit and how we translate visual images into words.
