Have you seen any good book trailers lately? Do you wish you knew how to make a book trailer? A book trailer is similar to a movie trailer, and is intended to promote books using an electronic video/slide show format. You can use book trailers in the library to show on a monitor or take them with you to show at events such as school visits to promote your summer library program or senior centers to promote adult literacy. Jet Kofoot, Iowa Library Services North Central District Consultant, will show you examples of book trailers and provide an overview of how to create a book trailer from start to finish.
