Art Attracts Attention at Guthrie Center
Photo of a mural outside the Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library in Guthrie Center. After construction of the new library building, the electrical power box ended up outside the front of the library. To make the best of a bad situation, the library board worked with the power company and received permission to have a local artist paint a mural on the power box. The resulting mural enlivened the curb appeal of the library and created positive discussion in the community about the library.
