3 ways to Request: Out-of-state ILL Procedures for non-OCLC Resource Sharing subscribers

OCLC Resource Sharing subscribers should use their own OCLC account.

From within the SILO ILL System: On the Interlibrary Loan request form check the “Send request to referral library as last choice.” This sends the request to your District Office. All public libraries’ referral library has been set as their district office.
 two.jpg Search OCLC’s Firstsearch Worldcat to find the item. From the bibliographic display, click the E-mail bib button. Enter your district office’s ILL e-mail address in To e-mail address:
a.    Central = illce@lib.state.ia.us
b.    North Central = illnc@lib.state.ia.us
c.    Northeast = illne@lib.state.ia.us
d.    Northwest = illnw@lib.state.ia.us
e.    Southeast = illse@lib.state.ia.us
f.    Southwest = illsw@lib.state.ia.us
Fill out the remainder of the form and click the Send button

    request.gif  When the item is Worldcat, but there are no Iowa libraries that own the item, send a request for the item by using the online form.

     

     received.gifReport when you receive the item by using this online form

     

    returned.gif  Report when you return the item by using this online form

     

    renewal.gif  Request a renewal ( a new due date) from the lending library.
