How to Add a Contact

  1. Log in as an author.
  2. Click on Contact Us (its in the footer)
  3. From the left navigation portlet, click on Library Staff
  4. Click on Add Item and select Contact Person
  5. Fill in the metadata:
    • Shortname - use the last name of the person
    • Contact Full Name (required)- The person's full name
    • First Name (required) - The person''s first name
    • Last Name (required) - The person's last name
    • Title (required) - The person's job title
    • Organization name - The name of the library
    • Department - The name of the department in the library in which the person works
    • Location - Where the person's office is located
    • Address1 - The first line of the mailing address
    • Address2 - The second line of the mailing address
    • City - The city for the mailing address
    • State - Select the state from the drop-down list
    • Country - Select a country from the drop-down list
    • E-mail - The person's e-mail address
    • Homepage or URL - The person's homepage or URL
    • Work Phone - Telephone number where this person can be reached
    • Fax Number - The fax number of the library
    • Mobile Phone - the cellular telephone number of the person
    • Notes - Any extra information about the person can be entered here, i.e. biographical information, projects, philosophy, etc.
    • Image - browse to find a portrait of the person that has already been added to the Web site
  6. Click on the Save button
  7. Click on State:Private and select Publish
