How to Add a Custom Logo

Specifications

  • Create a custom logo for the library Web site using a graphics editor program such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Specifications for PLOW Skin1 or PLOW Skin2: Size is 2000 x 125 pixels. Include the name of the library in the logo. Position the text and pictures in the left third of the image. The remaining two-thirds of the image should be a plain background color. This area is used as a place holder in the CSS and most will not actually display.
  • Specifications for PLOW Skin3 or PLOW Skin4: Size is 900 x 125 pixels. Do NOT include the name of the library in the logo.
  • Save the image as a JPG or GIF format.

Instructions

  1. Login as admin
  2. Click on site setup
  3. Click on Theme Configuration Manager
  4. Click Enable CSS Debug Mode
    • This turns off caching on your website and will allow your changes to show up right away after you make them. It is VERY important that you turn this off when after you have finished adding your logo as your site's performance will take a major hit if it is left on.
  5. Click the Browse button in the Site Logo section
  6. Locate your logo on your computer, click the image, and then click the open button
  7. Click Update theme now at the bottom of the page
  8. Click Disable CSS Debug mode
