How To Convert Outlook From POP3 to IMAP Access
Accounts cannot be disabled in Outlook, instead they must be deleted.
Deleting a POP3 account from Outlook does not not delete any messages associated
with the account. All of your existing messages will remain under the
"Outlook Today" folder list.
- Start Outlook
- From the Tools menu select the E-mail Accounts option.
- Select the account from the list that shows a type of POP3.
- Click on the Remove button.
- When asked, "Are sure you want to remove the account?", click on the Yes button.
- Click on the Finish button.
- Follow the instructions in the "How To: Add Your SILO E-mail Account to Outlook" guide.
