Web Mail Versus Outlook
Deleting messages from your SILO e-mail account is always a two step process. In web mail messages are moved to the Trash folder and then the Trash folder is emptied. In Outlook messages are flagged for deletion and then the folder is purged. Both methods usually work equally well. In either case you should never partially delete messages you might want to keep, as it's very easy to permanently delete them by mistake:
- Don't store messages you might want to keep in the Trash folder. They'll be deleted automatically after 14 days.
- Don't flag messages for deletion that you might want to keep, because purging a folder permanently deletes all messages flagged for deletion.
