How To: Add Your SILO E-mail Account to Thunderbird

1. Start Thunderbird
2. Pull-down the Tools menu and select the Account Settings... option.
   
3. Click on the Add Account... button below the left pane.
4. Select the Email account option.
5. Click on the Next button.
6. In the Your Name: field, enter your full name.
7. In the Email Address: field, enter your e-mail address.
8. Click on the Next button.
9. Select the IMAP option.
10. In the Incoming Server: field, enter mail.cityname.lib.ia.us where cityname is the name of your city as it appears in your domain name.
11. Click on the Next button.
12. In the Incoming User Name: field, enter your full e-mail address, e.g. username@cityname.lib.ia.us
13. Click on the Next button.
14. In the Account Name: field, enter your full e-mail address, e.g. username@cityname.lib.ia.us
15. Click on the Next button.
16. Click on the Finish button.
17. In the left pane, click on the Outgoing Server (SMTP) option.
18. In the Port: field, enter 587
19. Check the Use name and password checkbox.
    
20. In the User Name: field, enter your full e-mail address, e.g. username@cityname.lib.ia.us
21. Click on the OK button.
22. Click on the OK button.

Subscribing to your E-Mail Folders

1. Select your bold e-mail address in the left pane.
2. Near the bottom of the right pane, click on the Manage folder subscriptions.
3. In the Subscribe window, check all of the checkboxes.
4. Click on the Subscribe button.
   
5. Click on the OK button.
