How To Import Your Address Book from Outlook Express
Exporting Your Address Book from Outlook Express
- Open your address book inside of Outlook Express.
- From the File menu, select the Export option.
- Select the Other Address Book... option.
- Select the Text File (Comma Separated Values) file type.
- Click on the Export button.
- Click on the Browse button and click on the Desktop button in the left pane.
- In the File name: field, enter in: addresses
- Click on the Save button.
- You will be returned to the wizard. Click on the Next > button.
- In the Select the fields you wish to export: box, only have Name and E-mail Address selected. Uncheck the boxes of the other fields.
- Click on the Finish button.
- A window will appear, notifying you the Address book export process has completed.
- Click on the OK button.
- Click the button to Close the Address Book Export Tool.
Importing Your Address Book into Web Mail
- Log in to web mail.
- In the left pane, click the Addresses button.
- In the upper right-hand corner, click on the Import an Address Book button.
- In the File to Import field, click on the Browse button and click on the Desktop button in the left pane.
- Select the addresses file, and click on the Open button.
- For the Address Book to import to field, pull-down the menu and select the default address book.
- Click on the Import button.
- You will be returned to your Address Book with the new addresses included.
