How To Import Your Address Book from Outlook Express

Exporting Your Address Book from Outlook Express

  1. Open your address book inside of Outlook Express.
  2. From the File menu, select the Export option.
  3. Select the Other Address Book... option.
  4. Select the Text File (Comma Separated Values) file type.
  5. Click on the Export button.
  6. Click on the Browse button and click on the Desktop button in the left pane.
  7. In the File name: field, enter in: addresses
  8. Click on the Save button.
  9. You will be returned to the wizard.  Click on the Next > button.
  10. In the Select the fields you wish to export: box, only have Name and E-mail Address selected.  Uncheck the boxes of the other fields.
  11. Click on the Finish button.
  12. A window will appear, notifying you the Address book export process has completed.
  13. Click on the OK button.
  14. Click the button to Close the Address Book Export Tool.

Importing Your Address Book into Web Mail

  1. Log in to web mail.
  2. In the left pane, click the Addresses button.
  3. In the upper right-hand corner, click on the Import an Address Book button.
  4. In the File to Import field, click on the Browse button and click on the Desktop button in the left pane.
  5. Select the addresses file, and click on the Open button.
  6. For the Address Book to import to field, pull-down the menu and select the default address book.
  7. Click on the Import button.
  8. You will be returned to your Address Book with the new addresses included.
