Upload MARC Records to the Iowa Locator
- Login to SILO Interlibrary Loan System
- Select Upload MARC Data Files For Inclusion in Iowa Locator option.
- Click the Submit Request button.
- Click on the first Browse button to select a single MARC file from your computer. Navigate the file selector to the disk or folder or wherever you saved your exported MARC files.
- From the Choose File window, navigate to the file that contains the saved MARC records.
- Select the file then click the Open button.
- After a MARC file is selected, the browser returns to the File Upload page. To send another file, use another browse button on the main upload page and repeat steps 3-5.
-
NOTE: Check the Force delete status box only when you want all MARC
records in a file to be treated as deletes to delete your holding from the matching records. This option will over-ride
the status on all records in the selected file, so add records will be
treated as delete records.
- After you’ve selected all of the files you want to send, click on the Upload Files button. All of the MARC files will be transmitted to SILO.
- Click on Submit More MARC Files to upload additional MARC files.
- Click on Upload Activity Reports to view your file upload history.
- Click on ILL System Menu to return to the SILO ILL Main Menu.
