Upgrading Web Browsers

— filed under:

SILO web applications may be accessed with Netscape 4.7 or later, Mozilla 1.3 or later, and Internet Explorer 4.0 or later.  Other web browsers that support tables, forms, and cookies may also work, but SILO staff won't be able to to support them.

SILO staff  recommend that you run the latest stable version of a web browser including all patches.  Keeping your web browser software up-to-date should make your computer more secure and more reliable.  Newer browsers are also more likely to take advantage of modern Internet standards.

Web browsers tend to be rather large and can take a long time to download over slow connections such as a dial up modem.  Internet Explorer and Netscape are both available on CD from their publishers.
