- SILO web hosting service was originally made available through the PLOW Project as part of the Staying Connected Grant from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
- Through the PLOW program public libraries in Iowa can create Web sites.
- Through the PLOW project library staff are trained to manage and use e-mail and to create and maintain Web pages using Plone.
