How-to Install the Picasa Image Editing Software
- Open a web browser and navigate to picasa.google.com
- Click Try Picasa Now
- Click Save or Save File
- Select your Desktop as the location to save the file to
- Double click the new file on your desktop (picasaweb-current-setup.exe)
- Click Run
- Click I Agree
- Click Install
- Check/uncheck the boxes for your preferred settings
- Create Shortcut on Desktop - option will create a desktop shortcut for you
- Add Shortcut to Quick Launch - option will create a shortcut in your quick launch bar (small icons to the right of your start menu)
- Show System Tray Icon at Startup - option will show the startup icon in your system tray (icons by the time indicator on the right side of your task bar)
- Run Picasa - option will start the program after you click Finish
- Set Google as my default search engine in IE - will set the set box in the upper right hand corner of your IE window to use Google.
- Click Finish
