By the end of the class participants will be able to:
- List some qualities of good Web writing
- Define a Content Management System
- Describe the elements of a Plone site
- List some metadata elements
- Describe work flow in Plone
- List the major sections of the PLOW model Web site
- State the purpose of the major sections of the PLOW model Web site
- Define some additional features of a Plone Web site
- State the differences of the PLOW Web site between an anonymous user and a logged-in user
- Use Merlin, the PLOW wizard to add content to the site
- Add, delete and manage users for the site
- Describe what workflow is in Plone
- Find a specific page in the library’s Web site
- Edit a page:
- List, define and state the qualities of page metadata on the “Edit” tab including shortname, title, description, and body.
- Add new body text by:
- Writing from scratch
- Copying from an existing document, de-formatting, pasting
- Publish an edited page
- Select and change the color and theme of the Web site
