  • Focuses on Internet use policies and the impact of providing Internet access for the public.
  • According to a newly released report, "Opportunity for All:  How the American Public Benefits from Internet Access at U.S. Libraries," Internet access is now one of the most sought after public library services and is used by nearly half of all library visitors.
  • Sandy Dixon will spend about 20 minutes discussing the study's findings - the ways library patrons use library computers, why they use them and how they affect their lives.
  • Remainder of the time will be spent on a discussion of public library Internet use policies led by Marie Harms.
