About Kids First

Kids First is a conference for youth librarians sponsored by the State Library of Iowa held in the spring of odd-numbered years.  The next Kids First Conference will be at the Des Moines Embassy Suites on Monday, April 25 and Tuesday, April 26,  2011.

The first Kids First was first held in 1997 and attendance has grown with each conference.  It is funded through the Hazel Westgate Endowment and by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the State Library of Iowa.
