Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP)

The Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) is a grassroots consortium of states working together to provide high-quality summer reading program materials for children at the lowest cost possible for their public libraries.

By combining resources and working with a commercial vendor to produce materials designed exclusively for CSLP members, public libraries in participating states or systems can purchase posters, reading logs, bookmarks, certificates and a variety of reading incentives at significant savings.

The State Library of Iowa and the national Collaborative Summer Reading Program encourage teens to develop video skills, have fun and persuade others to use libraries all summer long. We are offering this contest for teens to create videos for teens.  Create a video promoting Summer Reading at the Library this year, and you could win $250! Produce a short Public Service Announcement, using the theme “You Are Here,” and you could be the Iowa “You Are Here” Teen Video Challenge Winner. One winner will be selected from each state and CSLP member affiliate. Teens across America could see your video.

Click here to download the entry form.  This contest is limited to participants who are between 13 and 18 years of age.
