About Kids First

Kids First is a biennial conference for youth librarians sponsored by the State Library of Iowa.  It is held in the springtime of odd-numbered years.  The next one is scheduled for April 27, 28, and 29th of 2009.

The first Kids First was held in 1997 and attendance has grown with each conference.  It is funded through the Hazel Westgate Endowment and by the Federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds.
