Inclement Weather Procedure for Summer Library Program Workshops
We always hope for good weather during the Summer Library workshops, however, we would like to have an inclement weather procedure in place prior to leaving for the tour around Iowa.
Karen Randleman, Youth Services Consultant, will call the workshop, due to weather, by 7:00 a.m. the morning of the workshop. If there is a raging blizzard, it could be earlier. A message will be placed on the answering machine of the State Library. Participants are asked to call 1-800-248-4483 to check on the status of the workshop. We will use this number for notification of both the children’s workshops and the teen workshops.
Because of the difficulty of rescheduling workshops, the State Library will tape both the Children’s and Teen Workshops. If we need to call a workshop because of weather, we will send you a free DVD copy of the workshop.
