Kids First evaluations were very positive. The 2007 conference will be moving to Ames at the Gateway Center. Cameron asked for feedback on the move and no comments were made.
Cameron then gave a short overview of the Hazel Westgate for the new members. Cameron asked to get comments about proposed changes to this conference. Most Council members would like a face to face conference. Some suggestions: to be a pre-conference to ILA, to partner with another group, ICN session, hire Keynote Speaker and have a regular conference.
Cameron announced that on the State Library website there is a conference for teens that will be held in three locations “Make Room for Teens.”
January 31, 2006 there will be a two hour ICN session regarding EBSCO for/with Kids. Today there is two sessions on Graphic Novels with a follow-up later in the year.
