Adventures in Storytelling: Genre Study

These Web pages are for the support of the Adventures in Storytelling classes taught by Michele Leininger (State Library of Iowa) and Katie Dunnebeck (Southeastern Library Services). 

By the end of each class, the participants will:

  1. Understand the history of the genre
  2. Recognize trends and current marketing of the genre
  3. Identify sub-genres, primary authors, publisher imprints, genre-blends, review outlets, awards and organizations of the genre

  4. Use identified information to analyze the library's collection in the genre and develop genre-specific Readers' Advisory tools
