Session 3 - Written Assignment

This written assignment should be done following the class meeting.  You will receive information in that class that will help with the assignment. 

All written assignments must be typed using a word processor.  If you have access to Microsoft Word, please use that and send it to your instructor via e-mail as an attachment.  If you need to use another type of word processor (such as Microsoft Works or Word Perfect), please cut and paste your assignment into an e-mail and send it that way.

Written assignment for Session 3:

Review one of the In Service to Iowa required policies (see Appendix A, p. 23-25) and choose a policy that needs to be revised or developed. 

If you chose an existing policy, revise it as you think it should be.  (Remember that the library board, not the staff, has the authority to adopt a revised policy.)   Explain why you think it should be revised.

If you chose a policy that needs to be developed, create a draft of a new policy.  Explain why you created the policy the way you did.
