Librarians advised to hold certification on NCIPA for E-Rate
Ken Davenport, Northeast Iowa Library Service Area Consultant and a member of the American Library Association's E-rate Task Force, urges all librarians not to submit Form 486 of the Neighborhood Children's Internet Protection Act (NCIPA) even if they received the funding commitment notice.
A new Form 486 is being written. You will be notified when it is available on the web site.
If you sent in Form 486, the Schools and Library Division (SLD) will contact you to correct it.
You are not in trouble! You have 120 days in which to get the forms in and vendors will be requested to work with you to get everything ready for discounts.
This applies to both public and school libraries.
