PLOW
Putting Libraries on the Web
- In PLOW Round 1, the State Library provided 275 libraries with their own Web sites and stable and consistent E-mail services. In PLOW Round 2, there are approximately 45 participants.
- PLOW is the most visible part of the $749,000 Staying Connected grant awarded to the State Library of Iowa from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to sustain and expand public access computing in Iowa public libraries.
- The grant also includes technical support, training, Internet connectivity upgrades and will be carried out 2005-2008. (Libraries eligible for Internet connectivity grants have already been contacted.)

- Services offered by SILO (State of Iowa Libraries Online) including those related to the PLOW project such as DNS and E-Mail Services.
