Leininger to receive WebJunction Member Award at ALA

The State Library's Continuing Education Consultant, Michele Leininger, was nominated by WebJunction members to receive a well deserved WebJunction Member Award.  Leininger and two other members will receive the awards Friday night, June 27, at the American Library Association Conference in Anaheim, CA.  Jennifer Peterson, community programs manager for WebJunction, thanked Leininger for "all [her] fantastic work for WJ and for library staff in Iowa!"

Communications Coordinator Annette Wetteland will be part of a panel on Sunday afternoon, June 29, titled "Get the Word Out:  How to Do It Marketing for Small and Rural Libraries." 

Karon King, Patents Library Resources Technician, is this year's president of the Patent & Trademark Depository Library Association, and will be staffing the association's booth at this year's ALA Conference.  King will also be the moderator for three other presenters on the subject of Patent Information for Science and Technology Librarians. 

Helen Dagley, State Library Reference Services Librarian, is also attending the conference, as is Sandy Dixon, Library Development Manager, who will attend the Urban Libraries Conference and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation meetings in Anaheim.
