for Summer Library Program Workshops
The State Library of Iowa believes strongly in the importance of a Summer Reading program, and, with the public libraries around the State, promotes a vigorous Summer Reading program.
Each year the State Library of Iowa provides a summer reading program for public libraries. Each library receives free children's and teen program manuals for the current theme, invitations to free summer workshops and a chance to order materials at a group rate.
The 2009 Summer Library Children's theme is "Be Creative at Your Library" and the Teen theme is "Express Yourself at Your Library."
The workshops will be presented around the State Oct 21-31. Locations will be announced shortly.
The State Library's Summer Library Program is funded through the Federal Library Services and Technology Act.
