Corson and Leininger to Present at ALA Conference
Corson will talk about Iowa Publications Online; Leininger on blended learning.
Barbara Corson, program director for Library Services, and Michele Leininger, continuing education library consultant, State Library, are presenting programs at this year's American Library Association Annual Conference in Washington, DC.
Corson will explain the State Library's involvement in Iowa Publications Online during the State and Local Documents Task Force (ALA Government Documents Roundtable) at 8 a.m. June 23 and at the GODORT Update at 10:30 a.m. According to Corson, many libraries are interested in starting to digitize and/or preserve digital state publications in their states.
Leininger will speak at 10:30 a.m. Sunday June 24 as part of a program titled Learning For Library Staff: Make it Blended — Not on the Rocks! As part of a panel, she will talk about the State Library's use of blended learning and, in particular, statewide videoconferencing (ICN) as part of the Iowa Certification Program for Public Librarians.
