Workshop "Introduction to Youth Services"

The State Library is offering a two-hour workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, November 22 on the ICN titled "Introduction to Youth Services."  The workshop is for new youth (children and young adult) services staff in public libraries.  It will include topics like the mission of youth services in public libraries, services for children and young adults, policies and procedures, etc.  To register online, go to http://www.silo.lib.ia.us/for_ia_libraries/continuing_ed/cecat.htm#Introduction or e-mail or call Mary Cameron, State Library, 1-800-248-4483; mary.cameron@lib.state.ia.us by November 15.  ICN sites will be set up as registrations are received and materials for the workshop will be mailed to registrants.  Two contact hours of continuing education will be provided.  For more information, contact Mary Cameron.
