ILA Legislative Day 2007

Members of the Iowa library community met at the Capitol on March 28, 2007 to talk to their legislators about library issues.

Over 90 librarians, trustees and friends were in the Capitol Wednesday, March 28, to meet with their legislators regarding important issues facing libraries in Iowa. About half of the Iowa General Assembly were present.
The Iowa Library Association's legislative agenda for 2007 includes restored funding for the State Library and the Library Service Areas, increased support for Enrich Iowa, and continued support for the decision-making responsibilities of local library boards.
