Youth Services Advisory Council

The Youth Services Advisory Council is a group of  librarians interested in services to children and young adults in public libraries. Members include children's librarians, young adult librarians, public library directors and regional library consultants. The council is chaired by the State Library's Youth Services Consultant and provides advice and support for State Library services and programs related to youth. Members are chosen to represent geographic regions, a variety of community sizes, and particular interests relating to youth services. Appointments are made by the State Library and are for three years. A person interested in serving on the Council should contact the Youth Services Consultant at the State Library of Iowa.
