Charges for Library Services

Charges for Iowa residents:

•    The charge is 20 cents each for copies, scans and prints whether done by library staff or done by the patron themselves. Exceptions may be made at the discretion  of library staff.

•    Materials may be faxed at a cost of $1 for each page including the cover sheet.

•    Priority delivery services may also be requested by the borrower at additional expense.

•    State employees are not charged for information delivery.

•    Iowa libraries are not charged for use of the State Library’s interlibrary loan services.

Charges for nonresidents of Iowa:

•    The charge is a $15.00 delivery fee plus 20 cents each for copies, scans and prints.

•    Materials may be faxed at a cost of $1 for each page including the cover sheet. 

•    Priority delivery services may also be requested by the borrower at additional expense.

•    For out-of-state interlibrary loan transactions the charge is a $15.00 delivery fee for each item loaned including books, videos, e-mailed digital articles and copies of articles.
